I didn't subscribe to this list, would someone please take me off it?
(This is the fourth time I've asked.)

Firstly, thx for all the songs people have uploaded
songs. Just amazing.

My qestion... I've tried loading the styles on my mac
[OS 9, Biab v8] but it sees them as PC files. Why
would it see the songs as Biab files and not the
styles and how could I make the styles work on my mac?

PG Music is working on the problem right now. My styles won't fit either.

You can try this. First, make a back up copy of the bbw.lst file. Then open
the original with a text editor, and strip all the entries in the "All"
category. Since the styles are duplicated in the other categories, this
should free the room.

BiaB isn't maxed out with styles, but with style names that can fit in the
style picker window. Removing the "All" category should solve the problem.

If it does not, you can replace the bbw.lst file you edited with the copy
you made.

If it does work, please let us all know.

Thanks,

You need to contact Mike LeVoi, who has a temporary fix to the problem,
which he will build into the next release of Styles Librarian, he said.

BIAB is not maxed out, it is just that the earlier versions had a
smaller limit. PGMusic has expanded that limit with the new version.

Re: How to dub a recording voice in BB v9.0?

Jack <steelplr@...>

You can save it as mid, then use Power Tracks, that way you can not only add your voice, but other instruments also.

Hello. Cannot speak to 9, but you can in 10. However, if it turns out that
you cannot in 9, consider converting the BiaB file to MIDI and inserting the
audio that way.

Introduction/Missing Digest 18

Joseph Wilbert <jwlbrt@...>

Hello,
Iam a new subscriber. I am not new to BIAB though. I started with Ver. 9 and
am now using Ver.10.
I was turned onto BIAB by the Flatpick-l group.

I started receiving my subscription with digest #17 on 2-05-01 then digest
#19 on 02-07-01.
Did I forget how to count? Has anyone else missed digest #18? Was a digest
#18 sent out? Iam just curious because I have had the same problem with
fingerstyle-l which is also a Yahoo group.

Thanks,
Joe Wilbert

Re: Digest Number 19

David Bailey <dhbailey@...>

I've never been able to get that to work right most of the time. Some
of the time it works, depending on the style. I have gotten sort of
good results by having the same chord on beat 1 AND on beat 2, separate
entries, with a hold on each beat.

But it isn't a true hold the way you would normally think of a held
chord.

Hi all. I've been using BIAB for several years now, mostly as a practice aide.
There's one thing that I've always had trouble with though. If the answer to
this is widely available somewhere else, please direct me. What I want to do is
to be able to hold a chord and have it decay naturally over a couple of
measures. Whenever I set a chord to "hold", it will only hold for that one beat.
What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried different styles?

I've noticed that some instruments in some styles will not hold and others
will. I guess it probably depends on the duration of the note that hits on the
beat where you want to put the hold instruction.

Folks

After receiving a number of requests, I have set up a webring for
BIAB users. So if you have a website and want to join the ring go to:

http://edit.webring.yahoo.com/cgi-bin/membercgi?
ring=bandinaboxusers&addsite

A webring groups similar sites in rings and links them together with
a simple navigation bar so you can easily find what you are looking
for.
