Re: Chord symbols on the main display window (chord sheet) #BiaBPrevious

David, thanks for your reply.
Yes, I know how to enter the chords and extensions in the main window (been doing it for a few decades),
but my question was really about how to display these types of symbols in the main window: CΔ7, Co (7), Cø7,C-7, for Cmaj7, Cdim7, Cm7b5, Cm7.
I can display those symbols in the Lead Sheet window, but haven't figured out how to do it in the main window.  (It just takes up less space in the measure and gives a less cluttered chart.)
Does anyone know if this is possible?

This appears to work, BUT, when the program comes up it says it’s BIAB 2021.   Under Help/About, the logo shows 2021, but the version says 2020 V. 734.  So, I guess it’s a go, but don’t know that there may not be other issues.

Here is a way to be able to run biab 2020 from within the biab 2021 folder if you find that your music making is hampered by bugs in the 21 biab.
its from the PGmusic forum band in a box, scroll down to the advice given by the user Pipeline on how to do this, its not difficult.

I figured out how to do this in the Lead Sheet window, but not the main window.   I've been using BIAB for a few years but not intensively.
Now I'm getting back to using it much more often.   I'm primarily using it for backing tracks for guitar.
I am considering upgrading to the newest version.
With the triangle, do you mean Cmaj7? Just enter that in the chord place.

Cmaj7

Cdim should give you the C diminished 7th

Cm7b5 will give you the half-diminished 7th

Cm7 for C minor 7th

There is a help file you can read to learn those things.

Also in the Window menu is an option called "Chord Builder" -- if you opwn that you will be able to see all the chord types that BIAB has to offer. In the middle part of the Chord Builder dialog in the "Extension" section is a drop-down menu which shows "Maj" -- if you click on the down-arrow beside that you will see a list of all the possible chord extensions you can use in BIAB.

I don't find it in either of the folders of files, either with or
without melodies.  I guess that somewhere along the way it disappeared.

Guess you'll have to find the chords online and create the song file
yourself.

This is a pretty standard phishing lure used by hackers. If you respond, they know you are an active email account and will put you on a list for further automated activity. Its important to ignore these and delete them quickly.

When I said DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS MESSAGE, I meant it. There is no need for anybody in the BIAB group to have responded to it, either directly to the person supposedly asking for help, or to this group.

There was one spam message and so far there have been 3 responses to it, in spite of my asking that people DO NOT RESPOND TO IT!

Please stop.

Demoing in the Style Picker just plays a prerecorded audio file.

It appears you're right. Interesting though since I would think the demo is using the actual style file.
I guess I  didn't realize the Ultra Pack didn't include all styles.
Thanks for responding.
