Good question ... but if he recorded the sax through the computer's sound card instead of using the fast track pro, it might sound crummy even if other audio sounded better.

Quick question: how do audio files sound through the headphones?  Not BIAB but MP3 or WAV files? If those sound thin and reedy, the problem is not BIAB but more your sound card or headphones.

It doesn't sound (no pun intended) like you have properly set up your fast track pro with its ASIO drivers for BIAB. You should be recording through it to your programs and you should be monitoring through it.

If you do both, then you can realistically evaluate the quality of your recordings.

Right now I am listening through headphones.  Plugged into computer through 1/8" plug.  Ernie
